Got a new Espon printer after my HP dies, but I can't seem to remove the HP Utility in my LaunchPad… Took a while for me to figure out. Broken sword 4 walkthrough. (Most of the links I Googled suck.)
Had to uninstall and reinstall printer/driver (easy peesey) and the process opened something called 'HP Printer Assistant' which is same as the 'HP Utility' on the Mac. However.there appears to be no icon for the HP Printer Assistant, so if i close it, I'm not sure how I access it. HP Utility Center, Free Download by Hewlett-Packard. Organizes your video and music library and plays a wide range of file formats. Default file system for mac.
Just because HP sucks and it hides its HP Utility app somewhere, doesn't mean you cannot install the redundant program.

- Remove your printer.
- Go to 'Printers and Scanners'. (I did a quick spotlight search. You can go there through System Preference.)
- Select your old HP printer and then hit the ‘-‘ sign.
- Go to 'Printers and Scanners'. (I did a quick spotlight search. You can go there through System Preference.)
- Remove the HP folder.
- The path is '/Library/Printers/hp'.
- If you can't find it, just go to your document. Then from the bottom select 'Macintosh HD'. You should be able to navigate your way to the folder.
- Move it to Trash.
- The path is '/Library/Printers/hp'.
- Remove the gz files in PPDs folder.
- The path is '/Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources'.
- Delete only the gz files relative to your deleted printer.
- The path is '/Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources'.
- Try to look for other HP files in your Library.
- I found a few files in Image Capture folder. I believe this is depending on your printer model.
- Delete shortcut in LaunchPad (Applications) folder.
- In Finder, open Applications folder.
- Under Utilities, you will see the shortcut link to HP Utility.
- Delete that too.
- Empty Trash.
- Run Disk Utility (spotlight search it or find it under Utility in launch pad).
- Select Macintost HD
- Click on Verify Disk Permission.
- When it's done, click on Repair Disk Permission.
- Restart your Mac
